Service Receptionist
Greenhous DAF is looking for a friendly, organised and customer-focused Service Receptionist to join our team in Shrewsbury.
As the first point of contact for customers visiting our DAF dealership, you’ll play an important role in providing a welcoming and professional experience. You’ll work closely with our Service Advisors, Technicians and wider team to ensure customers are kept informed and the day-to-day service operation runs smoothly.
This is a varied role where excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills are essential. If you enjoy working with people and thrive in a busy environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8.00 am to 12.00 pm, i.e. 40 hours per week, 1 hour lunch break (unpaid).
Salary:
OTE £30,000 per annum
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers to the dealership and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact.
- Answering incoming telephone calls and directing enquiries to the appropriate department.
- Booking customers into the workshop and assisting with service and repair enquiries.
- Supporting the Service Advisors with day-to-day administration.
- Keeping customers informed and ensuring messages and enquiries are dealt with promptly.
- Processing relevant paperwork and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Taking payments and handling customer transactions where required.
- Liaising with technicians and other departments to support the smooth running of the service operation.
- Maintaining a professional and organised reception area.
- Providing excellent customer service at all times.

Ideally, we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a customer service, reception or administration role is desirable.
- Experience within an automotive or commercial vehicle environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Professional, friendly and approachable manner.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
