Job Description

About us

Fusion, the process that powers the sun and stars, is one of the most promising options for generating the cleaner, carbon-free energy that our world badly needs. UKAEA leads the way in realizing fusion energy, partnering with industry and research organisations to achieve ground-breaking advancements. Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.

About the job

As a Service Support Advisor, you'll provide first-line support for UKAEA's Enterprise Asset Management System (IBM Maximo) and associated property technology platforms. You'll ensure maintenance requests, asset information, and system processes are managed efficiently, while supporting colleagues across the organisation with technical queries and system guidance. This is an excellent opportunity to combine customer service, systems administration, and data management in a role that directly supports the safe and effective operation of UKAEA's estate.

What You'll be Doing

  • Provide first-line support for IBM Maximo and associated property systems, resolving user queries and service requests.
  • Coordinate and manage maintenance requests from receipt through to completion, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and business processes.
  • Maintain asset records, templates, and master data, ensuring high levels of data quality and accuracy.
  • Support the configuration, testing, and administration of enterprise asset management systems.
  • Produce operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics using Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop user guidance, knowledge articles, and training materials to support system adoption and best practice.
  • Support audits, governance activities, and the onboarding of new assets and maintenance contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with customers and operational teams to deliver an efficient, customer-focused service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
