Role Description
As a Service Technician at Snows Portsmouth, you will carry out routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repair work on customer vehicles to manufacturer standards. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled servicing, identifying and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, and completing repair jobs efficiently and safely. You will accurately record work carried out, follow workshop processes, and collaborate with service advisors and parts teams to ensure smooth workflow. The role also involves interacting with customers when needed to explain work completed and support a positive service experience. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Snows SEAT/CUPRA dealership in Portsmouth.

Qualifications

- Strong vehicle Maintenance & Repair skills, including routine servicing and component replacement.
- Ability to perform effective Troubleshooting to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience in Maintenance planning and adherence to manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Background in Field Service or workshop environments, preferably within automotive or related sectors.
- Relevant automotive technician qualification (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent) and valid driver’s license.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and software; familiarity with Seat/Cupra brands is an advantage.
