Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Recondition and prepare vehicles to the highest mechanical standards.
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance work.
- Replace brakes, timing belts, and other vehicle components as required.
- Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and technology.
- Complete repairs efficiently and to manufacturer standards.
- Accurately record all service, repair, and maintenance work.
- Perform warranty-related inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, economically, and within agreed timescales.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Deliver a "right first time" approach to all servicing and repair activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and technical skills.
- Experience servicing and repairing vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve faults effectively.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- A positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
About The Role
Who do we need?
- Currently completing level 3 or fully qualified - NVQ Level 3 in relevant course or equivalent (e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC);
- It is essential that the person has at least 2 years’ experience working within a multi-brand or non-franchise environment either as an apprentice or time served technician
- Prior use of diagnostic equipment such as snap on or launch however full training will be provided
- A full driving licence is essential

Required Criteria
- Completion of Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications and/or equivalent time served experience
- Your commitment to achieve a manufacturer’s recognised qualification within an agreed timeframe
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Great communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues
- A high focus on continued development by adapting and learning new tools/techniques as needed, with a willingness to embrace change
- A mindset that prioritises health and safety matters
