Role Description
The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based at HWM Aston Martin in Walton-On-Thames. The Service Technician will perform routine maintenance and repair work on Aston Martin vehicles and other high-performance cars, ensuring all tasks meet manufacturer standards and HWM’s quality expectations. - Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
- Completing troubleshooting activities
- Carrying out service schedules

The role involves collaborating closely with service advisors and parts teams, communicating clearly about vehicle status and required work, and supporting a high level of customer service through professional, safe, and efficient vehicle care. The Service Technician will also contribute to maintaining a clean, organized workshop and may assist with occasional technical support for heritage and specialist vehicles.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair skills, with experience servicing and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.
- Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.
- Candidates should possess Field Service and workshop experience, including working safely with tools, equipment, and diagnostic technology.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service abilities, with clear communication and a professional approach when interacting with clients and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess general Maintenance capabilities, including routine servicing, inspections, and preventative care for high-performance vehicles.
- Formal automotive qualification (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) and manufacturer training are highly beneficial.
- Experience working with luxury, sports, or heritage vehicles, ideally including Aston Martin or similar brands, is an advantage.
- A valid driver’s license, strong attention to detail, and commitment to health and safety standards are required.
