Alpha Power Cleaners Ltd is a family-run business with more than 80 years of combined experience in commercial and industrial cleaning equipment. The company offers a comprehensive range of machinery, from small pressure washers and vacuums to large ride-on floor scrubber-dryers and sweepers. Operating throughout the Midlands, Alpha Power Cleaners provides sales, service, repair, and hire solutions to a diverse customer base. The business works with leading manufacturers such as Karcher, MAC, Tennant, Hako, Nilfisk, and others, giving team members exposure to a wide variety of equipment and technologies.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Service Technician role based in Sileby. The Service Technician will diagnose faults, perform maintenance and repair work, and carry out scheduled servicing on a range of commercial and industrial cleaning equipment. The role involves visiting customer sites across England, completing field service calls, and ensuring equipment is safe, reliable, and operating efficiently. Responsibilities include inspecting machines, ordering and fitting parts, documenting work carried out, and providing clear guidance to customers on proper use and basic care of their equipment. The Service Technician will collaborate with the wider team to meet service deadlines, uphold quality standards, and support a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong maintenance and repair skills, including routine Maintenance & Repair and preventative Maintenance.
- Proficient in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on commercial and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Experience in Field Service work, including on-site diagnostics, repairs, and customer visits.
- Solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and build long-term relationships.
- Previous experience working with industrial or commercial machinery (cleaning equipment experience is an advantage but not critical).
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within England for service calls.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and capability to work independently and as part of a team.
