Meyn America is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, rebuild, and support poultry processing equipment at customer facilities throughout North America. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, traveling to customer sites, and serving as a trusted technical expert.
What You'll Do
As a Field Service Technician, You Will
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and retrofit Meyn poultry processing equipment
- Perform diagnostics and resolve mechanical and electrical issues in the field
- Train customer maintenance personnel on equipment operation and maintenance
- Provide exceptional customer service while building strong customer relationships
- Serve as the primary liaison between customers, contractors, plant personnel, and Meyn management during projects
- Support equipment installations, rebuilds, and startup activities
- Work closely with the Sales team to identify upgrade opportunities and equipment leads
- Assist in developing troubleshooting guides, adjustment manuals, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete service reports and other administrative documentation accurately and on time
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment while adhering to all company policies and procedures

What We're Looking For
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or 2-year technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in the poultry industry working with poultry processing equipment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- 4+ years of mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude, including:
- Welding
- Grinding
- Cutting
- Equipment installation and repair
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, including:
- PLC calibration
- Weighing systems
- Electrical wiring and controls
- Proven leadership, training, or maintenance supervision experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently while representing Meyn professionally at customer sites
- Spanish language skills are a plus
- Valid driver's license with a strong driving record required

Physical Requirements
- Frequent and extended travel required
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in manufacturing and processing plant environments
- Must be physically mobile and capable of working around industrial equipment
