Service Technician – BYD Doncaster Site
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join our team at our BYD Doncaster site, nurturing our Family Values of Fit, Fun, Family, and Fearless.
We welcome candidates with NVQ Level 3 training or equivalent experience, though those with a background in independent garages or franchised dealers are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Your duties will scale with experience, encompassing every skill from basic checks to major engine repairs. Expect to:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults per manufacturer specifications.
- Restore vehicles to showroom condition ahead of sale or MOT testing.
- Perfect pre-lined/prepped used cars for resale.
Essential Requirements
✅ NVQ Level 3 certification (or equivalent workshop experience) ✅ Ability to drive/work in a volume-franchise dealer environment (not mandatory if independent garage exposure exists). ✅ Pure motivation—for example:
- Chemical proof for safe equipment usage.
- Self-assured troubleshooting without fear of repair complexity.
- Preferred: Agreed MOT Tester or used-car prep experience.
- Desirable: High Voltage accreditation.
