Job Opportunity

We are now looking for a Service Technician to join our Packaging & Hygiene Solutions, supporting customer growth and technical-commercial development across the UK market.

Packaging & Hygiene Solutions Business Unit

The Packaging & Hygiene Solutions business unit specializes in innovative solutions that enable customers to create fiber-based products suited for a circular economy and replacing plastics, while optimizing resource efficiency, product performance, and quality. The business unit serves paper, board, tissue, and molded fiber packaging manufacturers across the globe.

Position Details

This position is site-based in the Norfolk area of the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the UK Packaging & Hygiene Solutions sales team with customer account development, opportunity identification, and follow-up activities.
  • Building strong relationships with existing and prospective customers by understanding their operational needs, commercial priorities, and sustainability objectives.
  • Assisting with customer visits, sales planning, product introductions, and technical-commercial discussions, working closely with sales, technical service, and application experts.
  • Capturing customer feedback, market insights, and competitor activity, and sharing relevant information with the wider UK and global Packaging & Hygiene Solutions teams.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Paper Science, or Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related technical-commercial discipline.
  • An interest in sales, customer relationship management, and the pulp, paper, tissue, board, or fiber-based packaging industries.
  • Strong communication skills, commercial curiosity, and the confidence to engage professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • A proactive, organized, and analytical approach, with the ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative, dependable team-player mindset, with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute across team activities.
  • High levels of motivation, energy, and enthusiasm to support the UK team and help drive local customer-focused initiatives.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK as required to support customer visits, team activities, and business needs.

The starting base salary range for this role is between £36,045 to £42,053 per year. Salary ranges may vary depending on location and local market conditions. The actual starting salary will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant work experience, skills and competencies, qualifications, and wider business and organizational needs.
