Service Transition Manager
Up to £55,000 (dependent on experience), Remote (UK Based), bonus plus other benefits
Are you an experienced Service Transition Manager with a strong understanding of networking technologies and managed services environments?
The Service Transition Manager supports the successful on-boarding of new customers, services, technologies and significant service changes into Managed Services. The role ensures that operational teams are prepared to support services from day one through effective planning, documentation, governance, stakeholder engagement and service readiness activities.
Working closely with Project Managers, Consultants, Customer Delivery teams and Operational teams, the Service Transition Manager helps ensure services are transitioned into operation in a controlled manner, reducing risk, protecting service quality and supporting a positive customer experience.
The role has a particular focus on Network and SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) services, making previous exposure to networking environments and managed service operations essential.
This is a fully remote position, however applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead customer onboarding and service transition activities.
- Coordinate the transition of Network and SASE services into Managed Services.
- Ensure all customer, technical and operational documentation is complete and accurate.
- Manage Acceptance into Service (AIS) and operational readiness activities.
- Work with Service Desk, NOC, Service Management and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth handover.
- Identify and manage transition risks, issues and dependencies.
- Facilitate onboarding workshops, service reviews and stakeholder meetings.
- Drive a positive customer experience throughout the transition lifecycle.

Essential Skills & Experience
We're particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Service Transition Manager, within a Managed Services environment.
- Experience transitioning services from project implementation into managed service operations.
- Strong understanding of Network Services and technologies.
- Experience onboarding customers into operational support environments.
- Knowledge of SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) solutions and associated service delivery models.
- Experience supporting large-scale customer onboarding programmes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working with ServiceNow or similar IT Service Management platforms.
- Good understanding of ITIL principles and service management best practice.
- ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent.
- Excellent documentation, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transitions and priorities simultaneously.
