The role and what you’ll be doing on a day-to-day basis:

At Littlefish, we're passionate about delivering exceptional IT services and creating seamless experiences for our customers. We're looking for a Service Transition Manager to take ownership of onboarding new managed service customers, ensuring their transition into Littlefish is smooth, structured and successful.

This is a customer-facing role where you'll work closely with new clients, incumbent suppliers and internal teams to manage the transition of IT support and infrastructure services into our operational environment. You'll play a key role in setting projects up for success, managing risks, maintaining stakeholder engagement and ensuring services are ready to move into business-as-usual delivery.

You will:

  • Leading service transition projects from initiation through to operational handover
  • Managing project documentation including plans, risks, actions, dependencies and communications
  • Coordinating internal and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
  • Monitoring project progress against milestones, commitments and customer expectations
  • Managing project finances, forecasts and commercial considerations where required
  • Identifying opportunities to improve transition processes, standards and best practices
  • Supporting operational teams to deliver efficient, scalable transition outcomes
  • Building strong customer relationships throughout the transition lifecycle

We need a candidate with:

  • Previous experience in a Service Transition Manager, Project Manager or similar customer-facing role
  • ITIL Foundation certification (v3 or v4)
  • Experience delivering client-facing technology or managed service projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong organisational and risk management capabilities
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to manage project scope effectively
  • Confidence working across multiple teams and influencing stakeholders
  • The ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, understandable way

It would be great if you also have

  • A good understanding of IT infrastructure environments
  • Experience working within managed services
  • Knowledge of service desk operations and support functions
