Service Transition Manager

Location: Milton Keynes
Day Rate: Up to £625 per day
Contract: 8 months
IR35: Outside IR35
Onsite Requirement: 2–3 days per week onsite

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Transition Manager to join the IT Operations function within the Group IT Department, reporting to the Senior IT Service Manager.
This is a key role supporting the transition of IT services within a large, complex organisation, with a particular focus on environments containing substantial legacy technology and organisations undergoing significant service model transformation.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating across multiple concurrent workstreams and will be able to establish effective relationships quickly across a broad and diverse stakeholder community.

Key Experience

  • Significant experience managing the transition of IT services within large, complex organisations.
  • Strong experience working within substantial legacy IT environments.
  • Proven experience supporting service model transformation and change.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships quickly across a wide range of teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable leadership capability, including the ability to manage complex issues and escalations effectively.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a highly complex environment.
  • Experience working with Indian outsourcing providers is highly advantageous.
  • Experience working with CGI would be particularly advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of IT service transition, operational readiness, and the delivery of services into live operations.

Additional Information

The successful candidate will work within IT Operations in the Group IT Department, reporting directly to the Senior IT Service Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Transition Manager to play a key role in a complex transformation environment, working across legacy services, outsourcing partners, and multiple stakeholder groups.
