Service Transition Manager – Contract

Initial 7+ Months

£475-500 per day, Outside IR35

Fully Remote (Must be UK based)

Security Clearance: SC required

Unify is working in partnership with a growing consultancy to support the delivery of a major Central Government programme. We’re looking for an experienced Service Transition Manager to join the team and play a key role in successfully moving services into live operation.

This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile programme, collaborating with technical, operational and business teams to ensure services are ready to launch, operate and deliver value to users.

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience managing service transition into live/BAU environments
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong co-design and workshop facilitation skills
  • A hearts-and-minds approach to change, with the ability to bring people with you
  • Experience mapping processes, understanding user needs and turning insights into improvements
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and operational teams
  • Strong planning, organisation and risk-management skills
  • Ability to create clear transition, readiness and operational documentation
  • Experience supporting teams through change, adoption and go-live

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Developing and managing transition plans
  • Working with teams to assess service and operational readiness
  • Facilitating workshops and co-design sessions
  • Mapping current and future processes
  • Identifying risks, dependencies and gaps ahead of go-live
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders and operational teams
  • Supporting successful handover into BAU
  • Helping teams understand and adopt new ways of working
