ServiceNow ITOM / FSM Consultant

Rate: circa-£400 per day
Duration: 6 months
Location: Remote

I am looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM / FSM Consultant to join a major enterprise ServiceNow programme on an initial 6-month contract.

This role requires strong hands-on ServiceNow expertise, particularly across IT Operations Management (ITOM), Field Service Management (FSM), Dynamic Scheduling and CSDM.

The Role:

You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design, configure and implement scalable ServiceNow solutions across IT Operations and Field Service Management.

A key focus will be FSM and Dynamic Scheduling, optimising the assignment and deployment of field engineers based on factors including skills, availability, location and priority.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Design, configure and implement ServiceNow ITOM solutions
  • Deliver and optimise Field Service Management (FSM) capabilities
  • Configure Dynamic Scheduling for field engineer/resource optimisation
  • Develop work order, scheduling, dispatch and resource allocation workflows
  • Support implementation and optimisation of CSDM and CMDB
  • Improve service data quality, relationships, governance and service modelling
  • Support ITOM capabilities including Discovery and Service Mapping
  • Configure workflows, automation, business rules, notifications and integrations
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical ServiceNow solutions
  • Support testing, UAT, deployment, documentation and knowledge transfer
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, BAs, operations teams and ServiceNow specialists

Essential Experience:

I am particularly interested in speaking with consultants who can demonstrate:

  • Strong hands-on ServiceNow implementation and configuration experience
  • Proven ServiceNow ITOM experience
  • Strong Field Service Management (FSM) expertise
  • Hands-on implementation/configuration of Dynamic Scheduling
  • Strong understanding of CSDM, CMDB and ServiceNow service modelling
  • Work orders, dispatching, scheduling and resource allocation
  • ServiceNow workflows, integrations and automation
  • Experience within complex enterprise ServiceNow environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills
