About the Role
We are searching on behalf of our client for this role. This position is not with OVI.
Join our client as a ServiceNow Data Architect, where you will lead a strategic data architecture engagement for a high-profile UK public sector organisation. Your role will involve transforming ServiceNow into a trusted enterprise service management capability through robust data architecture, CMDB/CSDM maturity, and readiness for AI, automation, IAM, ITAM, and ESM.
Key Responsibilities
- Define target-state ServiceNow data architecture, standards, and guardrails.
- Align with enterprise architecture and review licensing usage/readiness.
- Assess CMDB maturity and build a CSDM-aligned roadmap.
- Rationalise CI structures and improve service dependency visibility.
- Identify authoritative sources and map data flows.
- Document transformation/mastering logic and produce lineage documentation.
- Define data governance models, Owner/Steward roles, RACI, quality monitoring, and retention/sovereignty approaches.
- Ensure platform readiness for Service Desk modernisation, IAM, AI Search, Virtual Agents, ITOM, ITAM, BCM, SPM, and ESM expansion.
- Lead senior stakeholders and present to governance boards.

Your Profile
- Expertise in ServiceNow: ITSM, CMDB, CSDM, ITOM (Discovery/Service Mapping), ITAM (HAM/SAM), IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, platform governance.
- Strong background in architecture: Enterprise, Solution, Data, Platform, Integration.
- Proficient in data governance, modelling, MDM, quality frameworks, lineage, metadata, authoritative source ID.
- Skilled in integration: IAM, endpoint/asset management, APIs, ETL.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise-scale ServiceNow architecture delivery and proven success in CMDB/CSDM transformation. A background in the public sector or regulated industries is essential, along with strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop governance frameworks. A ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect certification is highly desirable.
