ServiceNow Developer

Location: Hybrid (UK – office, client site and home-based working)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Excellent Benefits

We're looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to join a high-performing technology team delivering secure, enterprise-scale ServiceNow solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on business-critical programmes, developing innovative solutions that enhance user experience, automate business processes and drive digital transformation.

You'll work closely with technical teams, architects, and stakeholders to design, build, and optimise ServiceNow applications, with a particular focus on workflow automation, integrations, and Virtual Agent capabilities.

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Hold active SC (Security Check) clearance.
  • Be a sole UK national.

  • Design, develop, and enhance ServiceNow applications and platform capabilities.
  • Build and customise workflows, catalog items, business rules, client scripts, and integrations.
  • Develop and implement ServiceNow Virtual Agent solutions to improve user engagement and self-service.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with third-party systems and automation platforms.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
  • Optimise platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the ServiceNow platform.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions and ensure solutions align with platform standards and governance.

About You

You'll have strong technical expertise and experience including:

  • Proven experience developing and customising the ServiceNow platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow workflows, scripting, integrations, and platform administration.
  • Experience with ServiceNow Virtual Agent and/or Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Strong JavaScript development skills.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with external systems using REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Understanding of ITSM processes and ServiceNow best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.
