Fixed Term Contract (12 month)

The role and what you'll be getting up to on a day-to-day basis

As a ServiceNow Developer, you'll join our ISTM Tooling team, working within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. You'll play a key role in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting innovative ServiceNow solutions that help drive service excellence for both our customers and internal teams.

You will:

  • Design, develop, and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Build and maintain Service Catalog items, forms, and user interfaces.
  • Create automated business processes using workflows, scripts, and APIs.
  • Configure and customise ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with third-party tools and business systems.
  • Develop and maintain CMDB integrations and data quality processes.
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
  • Support ServiceNow upgrades and new releases, ensuring stability and continual improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Create clear technical documentation and provide user guidance where needed.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise ServiceNow capabilities and improve service delivery.
  • Share knowledge and mentor colleagues across the wider team.

Who you are

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Essential skills and experience:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
  • Proven experience developing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and best practices.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, XML, and JSON.
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs and web services development.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering quality solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business and technology environments.

Desirable:

  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • Degree-level education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience integrating enterprise platforms using REST, SOAP, XML, AJAX, CSS, and related web technologies.
  • Exposure to ITIL principles and service management frameworks.
