ServiceNow Developer
CPS Group UK are delighted to be partnering with an organisation to urgently appoint a talented ServiceNow Developer to play a key role in the design, development, implementation, and support of innovative ServiceNow solutions.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across the full ServiceNow development lifecycle, delivering scalable solutions, automating business processes, and driving continual improvement across the ServiceNow platform.
Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform.
- Build and maintain Service Catalog items, forms, portals, and user interfaces.
- Develop automated business processes using workflows, scripting, APIs, and ServiceNow best practices.
- Configure, customise, and enhance ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
- Integrate ServiceNow with third-party applications and enterprise systems.
- Develop and maintain CMDB integrations, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.
- Support ServiceNow upgrades and releases while maintaining platform stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.
- Produce and maintain clear technical documentation and user guidance.
- Identify opportunities to maximise platform capabilities and improve operational efficiency.
- Share knowledge, provide technical expertise, and support the development of colleagues across the wider team.

Essential Skills & Experience

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).
- Proven experience developing and implementing ServiceNow ITSM solutions.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow platform and development best practices.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML/XHTML, XML, and JSON.
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs and web services development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
- Ability to adapt to evolving business and technology requirements.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience integrating enterprise platforms using REST, SOAP, XML, AJAX, CSS, and related web technologies.
- Understanding of ITIL principles and service management frameworks.
