Role description
Need ServiceNow HAM Consultant who designs, implements, and optimizes enterprise hardware asset lifecycles, inventory tracking, and data integrity workflows on the ServiceNow platform.
Key responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration: Lead end-to-end deployments of ServiceNow HAM Pro, managing hardware lifecycles from procurement and receiving to retirement and disposal.
- CMDB & Discovery Integration: Align HAM data with the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Service Graph Connectors, and ITOM Discovery to reconcile physical assets with configuration items.
- Process Automation: Configure advanced HAM features like hardware asset dashboards, normalization data, lifecycle rules, and automated workflows using Flow Designer or JavaScript.
- Stakeholder Workshops: Lead client-facing sessions to define asset strategies, inventory governance, and reporting KPIs.
- Data Migration & Quality: Cleanse, map, and migrate legacy asset data into ServiceNow while maintaining strict data governance frameworks.

Key skills/knowledge/experience
- Core Expertise: Hands-on configuration and deployment experience with ServiceNow ITAM/HAM Pro modules.
- Platform Knowledge: Solid understanding of CMDB, CSDM (Common Services Data Model), ITOM Discovery, and ITSM integrations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting and architecture (JavaScript, Glide, REST/SOAP APIs, Flow Designer).
- Experience Level: Typically 3 to 8+ years of total IT experience, including multiple full-lifecycle ServiceNow ITAM/HAM implementations.

Preferred Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management certification (CIS-HAM)
- ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
- Experience within Financial Services, Banking, or Building Societies.
- Knowledge of regulatory, audit, and governance requirements within UK financial institutions.

- Strong stakeholder management.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership, mentoring, and decision-making skills.
