Services Center Mid/Senior.NET Software Developer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Services Center Mid/Senior.NET Software Developer based in United Kingdom.
This role offers the opportunity to build reliable integration services that connect an enterprise loan origination platform with a broad ecosystem of third-party vendors and services.
You will work on backend systems responsible for accurate, traceable, and dependable data exchange across complex workflows.
Your focus will include service connectors, data transformation pipelines, vendor-facing APIs, and the mapping logic that keeps systems synchronized.
You will write high-quality C# and SQL code while contributing to integration architecture, testing, performance, and operational reliability.
Working within a small Agile team, you will collaborate closely with product, quality assurance, and senior engineering colleagues.
The role is well suited to a self-driven developer who enjoys understanding complex systems and solving integration challenges.
Your work will directly support enterprise-scale software used throughout the mortgage lending lifecycle.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain integration capabilities within a .NET-based backend environment, including service connectors, data transformation pipelines, and vendor-facing APIs.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested C# code while participating in constructive peer code reviews.
- Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data models supporting vendor integration and data mapping requirements.
- Interpret third-party vendor specifications and implement reliable bidirectional integrations for exchanging data with external systems.
- Design and maintain field-level mapping and transformation logic to ensure accurate synchronization between internal and external platforms.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on integration architecture and contribute to decisions around reliability, retry mechanisms, error handling, and observability.
- Contribute to automated testing and continuous improvements to engineering practices and development processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration specifications and data mapping references.
- Take ownership of assigned development tasks, identify potential issues early, and drive work through to completion.

Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience working with the Microsoft technology stack.
- Strong proficiency in C# and the.NET Framework and/or.NET Core.
- Solid experience designing, developing, and consuming web APIs.
- Practical experience working with external vendor specifications and implementing reliable data exchange integrations.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, including developing performant queries and stored procedures.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter, take ownership of tasks, and drive them through completion.
- Experience working within Agile software development teams.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to investigate unfamiliar areas of a large and complex codebase.
- Ability to take a development story or requirement and progress it independently while asking appropriate questions when clarification is needed.
- Strong commitment to software craftsmanship, including readable code, appropriate automated testing, and thoughtful technical design.
- Experience developing or maintaining distributed, high-throughput systems where reliability and performance are critical is an advantage.
- Experience with application, query, or system-level performance profiling, optimization, and tuning is desirable.
- Hands-on experience with third-party integrations, including API documentation, authentication mechanisms, and field-level data mapping, is a plus.
- Exposure to Redis for caching and distributed data is beneficial.
- Experience developing and deploying workloads on Microsoft Azure is advantageous.
- Experience contributing to large-scale enterprise applications is a plus.
