Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service while leading and coordinating a team of Field Service Engineers? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for an organised, customer-focused Service Controller to join our busy and successful service team in West Bromwich.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our Field Service Engineers are deployed efficiently, customers receive an outstanding service, and jobs are completed safely, on time and to the highest standard. Working closely with the Depot Manager, Sales Team and Parts Department, you'll be at the heart of the operation keeping everything running smoothly from the moment a customer books a service through to invoicing and completion.

If you enjoy problem-solving, coordinating multiple priorities and being the go-to person who keeps a busy service department on track, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and well-established business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day workload of a team of Field Service Engineers.
  • Schedule engineer visits based on priority, location and availability.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the service process.
  • Ensure engineers have the information and parts required to complete jobs efficiently.
  • Manage service jobs from booking through to completion and invoicing.
  • Review engineer job reports to ensure work is accurately recorded and fully justified.
  • Liaise with customers regarding repairs, updates and any additional work required.
  • Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure parts are ordered and available when needed.
  • Monitor work in progress to minimise outstanding jobs and maximise engineer productivity.
  • Support the Depot Manager and deputise when required.
  • Process invoices, manage customer queries and maintain accurate service records.
  • Work alongside the Warranty team to ensure claims and documentation are completed correctly.
  • Promote safe working practices and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
