Services Supervisor
We are recruiting a Services Supervisor for a busy client based in Mendlesham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic Services Supervisor to join the team. In this key role, you will lead the day-to-day management, performance, and delivery of rework and value-added services activities across the contract, ensuring operations high-quality standards are met, and exceptional customer service.
Shift: Monday to Friday
Hours: 07:00 - 15:30
Pay rate: £15.83 p/h
Key skills & Tasks
- Lead and motivate a team of operatives, ensuring resources are effectively planned to meet daily operational targets.
- Monitor productivity, performance, and quality, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Deliver training and support onboarding, ensuring compliance with SOPs, customer requirements, and health & safety standards.
- Build strong customer relationships, providing updates on project progress, service levels, and operational performance.
- Oversee quality control processes, including sample approvals and inspections, ensuring work meets customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, stock control, and workplace organisation standards.
- Resolve operational issues, manage workloads effectively, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and reduce waste.
- Monitors staffing levels, training requirements, and skill coverage to ensure operational resilience and effective succession planning across the department.
- Work collaboratively with customers and internal support functions to resolve operational issues, improve service delivery, and maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

What We Are Looking For
Ideal candidate will be an experienced supervisor with a background in fast-paced warehouse, logistics. You should have a proven ability to lead and motivate diverse teams while maintaining strong performance and productivity standards. Confidence in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and strong computer skills is essential. Strong communication skills are key, along with the ability to build effective working relationships with customers. You should be proactive, hands-on when needed, and confident working in a dynamic operational setting. A continuous improvement mindset is important, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions. You'll need to be organised, calm under pressure, and able to adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience in a contract logistics environment is highly desirable.
