Sessional Cake Decorating Tutor

CALAT Sessional Lecturer Conditions: Band 1, Pts 3 to 8
£28.33 to £34.98 per hour (including holiday pay). Starting on Pts 3 or 4 depending on teaching qualifications.

Tutor required to teach Cake decoration at a Croydon Centre on our Community Learning courses.

You will need to have knowledge of and experience of teaching Cake decoration to adult learners.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Suitable subject qualifications and current, relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Portfolio of own work and evidence of current professional practice.
  • Previous experience of teaching mixed ability adult groups.
  • Be able to teach community learning dressmaking courses.

As a condition of employment all applicants should be qualified in their subject with a teaching or training qualification, Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent as a minimum. Teachers without relevant teacher training qualifications or qualified teacher status (DTLLS or equivalent) will be required to work towards the relevant qualifications.

Starting pay is £28.33 to 29.66 per hour (including holiday pay), depending on teaching qualification and experience. Tutors holding the equivalent to a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training / Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or above, start at £29.66 (including holiday pay) per hour.
