Cake Decorating Teacher
Here at South Thames College, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Cake Decorating Teacher to deliver engaging and practical classes to adult learners of varying abilities.
About the Role
You will plan and deliver inspiring cake decorating sessions, enabling learners to develop skills in areas such as:
- Basic and advanced cake decorating techniques
- Buttercream and royal icing work
- Sugarcraft and fondant modelling
- Piping techniques
- Celebration cake design and decoration
- Health, safety, and food hygiene practices
Requirements
As our Cake Decorating Lecturer, you will bring extensive knowledge of cake decoration, supported by either a relevant qualification or significant professional experience within the industry. You will have a strong understanding of cake decorating principles and techniques, along with either successful teaching experience, a recognised teaching qualification, or substantial experience in a related professional setting.
You will be a confident communicator, able to engage effectively at all levels. Highly organised and proactive, you will identify opportunities to improve existing processes and systems, while demonstrating excellent IT skills and a strong ability to utilise technology to support teaching and learning.
