Sessional Lecturer – Digital

£24.13 per hour + 12.07% holiday pay

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Digital, Technology and AI professional to join our team and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across a range of Digital, Technology and AI-related programmes. You will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports learner achievement, progression and positive destinations.

You will develop learners’ digital knowledge, skills and behaviours, equipping them with the confidence and capabilities they need to progress into employment, further study and successful careers within the rapidly evolving digital sector.

Working collaboratively with colleagues and employers, you will contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance and a range of administrative activities that support outstanding learner outcomes, meaningful employer engagement and the continuous improvement of our Digital, Technology and AI provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, innovative and industry-relevant teaching across a range of digital programmes, which may include digital skills, artificial intelligence, data, digital transformation, digital marketing, cyber security and related subjects.
• Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities that support learners to develop both technical knowledge and practical workplace skills, whilst meeting awarding body and quality requirements.
• Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement, providing timely, developmental feedback and implementing appropriate interventions to support learner success.
• Create and maintain high-quality schemes of work, lesson materials, assessment plans and learning resources that reflect current industry practice and technological developments.
• Use effective assessment strategies to measure learner progress and provide constructive feedback that promotes achievement and continuous improvement.
• Support learners to develop professional behaviours, digital confidence, critical thinking, problem-solving and employability skills.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employers, industry partners and stakeholders to enhance learner experiences and ensure curriculum content remains current and responsive to sector needs.
• Contribute to curriculum development, commercial training opportunities and employer-responsive provision, supporting the continued growth of the College’s digital offer.
