About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a number of sessional Progress Tutors across the Sport department with the opportunity to work across other areas of the college to support our 16–18-year-old learners to achieve their full potential and progress to their next steps.

Loughborough College Group’s Sport is a highly successful team with over 850 full-time learners offering a wide range of provision from Level 1 up to Level 3.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach a case load of learners in partnership with the curriculum, other progress tutors, and staff.
  • Ensure that learners become independent learners who progress successfully.
  • Deliver inspiring tutorial support to ensure all students are supported to succeed through the delivery of high-quality and challenging learning experiences.
  • Help provide cover within the team, making this a perfect route for those candidates wanting to start a career in teaching.
  • The college can support you in acquiring a teaching qualification and you will gain the knowledge and experience of teaching through the role.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree and vocational experience in an educational setting are essential for this role.
  • The ideal candidate will be dynamic, have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and work effectively in a large cross-curricular team.
  • Excellent planning and administration skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
