Setting Out Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to support a long-term civil engineering project in the Coventry area.
This role would suit a hands-on engineer with strong groundworks and civil engineering experience, who is confident setting out, surveying and working closely with site management teams to ensure works are delivered accurately and to the required standard.
The role will involve:
- Setting out, levelling and surveying for groundworks and civil engineering works
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Using Total Station and GPS surveying equipment
- Carrying out surveys and recording as-built information
- Maintaining accurate site records and engineering documentation
- Supporting QA and checking works against required standards
- Liaising with project managers, site supervisors and delivery teams
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with health and safety requirements

We are looking for someone with:
- Proven UK experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer
- Strong background in groundworks and civil engineering
- Confident use of Total Station and GPS equipment
- Experience with setting out, levels, surveys and as-builts
- Good understanding of site QA procedures and engineering documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Confidence working independently within a busy site environment
- Valid CSCS card
- Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience
