Setting Out Engineer - Leeds / Grimsby (Temp to Perm)
Location: Leeds, with travel to Grimsby
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate
Rate: Competitive (DOE)
Linsco Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer on behalf of a well-established contractor specialising in the construction of large industrial and commercial warehouse developments.
The successful candidate will initially be based on a project in Leeds, before travelling to Grimsby to assist in completing an existing project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to secure a long-term, temp-to-perm position with a growing contractor.
Responsibilities
- Setting out for industrial and warehouse construction projects.
- Carrying out surveys and producing accurate site measurements.
- Working closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to ensure works are delivered to programme.
- Checking drawings and resolving any setting out issues on site.
- Maintaining quality control throughout the construction process.
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
- Keeping accurate site records and as-built information.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a Setting Out Engineer on industrial, commercial or steel frame projects.
- Ideally have their own kit but not essential
- Experience working on warehouse/'shed' construction projects is highly desirable.
- Proficient with Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- CSCS Card.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel between Leeds and Grimsby.
