Millbank FX | London
Full-time | Permanent | Office-based

Location: Central London (20 King St, London EC2V 8EG)
Remuneration: £35,000 - £37,500 base + benefits package (private medical insurance, dental and optical cash back, gym & wellness discounts)

As we continue to scale, we are expanding our back office team with an attention-focused individual to support our settlements team.

Role Overview

Our Settlements team sits at the operational heart of the company, ensuring every trade, payment, and reconciliation runs smoothly between our partner banks, internal systems, and clients.

We are looking for a Settlements Administrator who brings consistency, attention to detail, and reliability to the daily execution of settlement processes. This is an execution-focused role centered on accuracy, clean records, and dependable delivery in a deadline-driven environment.

You will support the Head of Settlements by ensuring core settlement, reconciliation, and data hygiene tasks are completed to a high standard.

Your Mission

  • Process and release payments accurately and on time, following defined procedures
  • Reconcile incoming and outgoing funds in Salesforce and Excel
  • Maintain clean and accurate Client Held Funds and Trade Ledgers
  • Support FCA-related operational reporting by ensuring underlying data is complete and reconciled
  • Assist with hedging position administration and settlement checks
  • Investigate straightforward discrepancies and escalate exceptions promptly
  • Maintain clear, audit-ready records across internal systems
  • Follow established processes consistently and flag issues when identified

What You’ll Need

Experience & Background

  • 1–3 years’ experience in settlements, payments operations, or finance administration
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with routine, process-driven work
  • Confidence using Excel for reconciliations and data checks
  • Clear written communication and a calm, dependable working style
  • A strong sense of personal accountability for task completion, accuracy, and follow-through within defined processes
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow into broader responsibility

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 6-12 months, you will:

  • Consistently meet daily accuracy and turnaround KPIs
  • Maintain clean, reliable settlement and ledger data
  • Be trusted to execute defined processes with minimal rework
  • Comfort using existing automation tools and scripts as part of daily settlement and reconciliation processes.
  • Reduce exception volume through strong operational hygiene
