Our client is an established European energy and commodities business with an international trading operation and a growing presence in the LNG market. The business is continuing to develop its technology capabilities and is investing in systems and processes that support its trading activities.

We are seeking a Settlements Analyst with 2 years experience in commodity trading settlements to support the end-to-end settlement of LNG transactions. The role will be responsible for invoicing, payment processing, FX settlements, reconciliations and process improvement initiatives, whilst supporting the continued development of the Company's ETRM platform.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, validate and issue commodity sales invoices through the ETRM system, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
  • Review, validate and process commodity purchase invoices, resolving discrepancies where required.
  • Reconcile and confirm foreign exchange settlements with banking counterparties.
  • Support margin call, collateral processes.
  • Manage the aged receivables process, proactively following up overdue balances and resolving outstanding issues.
  • Perform payment verification call-backs and set up payments in accordance with Treasury requirements and internal control procedures.
  • Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, invoice disputes and other transactional discrepancies.
  • Participate in ETRM enhancement projects, user acceptance testing (UAT) and process automation initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate counterparty, settlement and banking static data within the ETRM system.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls, efficiency and operational resilience.

Essential

  • 2+ years' experience in commodity settlements.
  • LNG, natural gas, power or commodity trading experience.
  • Experience using ETRM systems (EOS, Endur, Allegro or similar).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trading environment.

Desirable

  • Experience with process improvement and systems development projects.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
