Are you an experienced Sewing Machinist looking for your next opportunity? Do you take pride in producing high-quality work with precision and attention to detail?

We're recruiting on behalf of our client in Kirriemuir for Sewing Machine Operators to join their growing production team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with industrial sewing experience, although those with a background in tailoring, dressmaking or textile production are also encouraged to apply.

Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you'll play a key role in producing specialist textile products while benefiting from full training, stable hours and the potential for a long-term career opportunity.

The Role

Following training, you will operate industrial sewing machinery to produce high-quality technical textile products, ensuring all work meets strict quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Operating industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently
  • Producing products to exact quality specifications
  • Monitoring productivity and meeting production deadlines
  • Carrying out routine quality checks and completing documentation
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures
  • Reporting defects, faults or operational issues promptly
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve daily targets
  • Supporting additional production activities as required

Essential

What We're Looking For

  • Previous sewing machine operation experience or machine operating experience
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Reliable transport to accommodate shift patterns
  • Good level of physical fitness for a production environment
