Mitre Production are currently recruiting for a Sewing Machinist to join our team in Merthyr Tydfil on a Part Time Basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and supportive production environment, where you will contribute to the creation of high-quality soft furnishings and ready-made textile products.

The successful candidate will be trained to use a variety of sewing machines and tools, including vertical cutters and eyelet machines. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency, while working safely and effectively as part of a team.

This is a Part Time position up to 25 hours per week and will be an on-site role based at our Merthyr Tydfil facility.

Key Accountabilities

  • Learn and develop sewing machinist skills
  • Operate a range of sewing machines and tools to produce soft furnishings.
  • Increase machining speed and accuracy over time.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area at all times.
  • Follow all Health and Safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
  • Support the team in achieving production targets and quality standards.
