Sewing Machinist required in Bristol

Salary: £15.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 - 17:00, Friday 07:00 - 16:30
Contract: Permanent Opportunity.

Pertemps are recruiting for a Sewing Machinist to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected company that specialises in producing high-quality bespoke PVC and canvas products for customers across a range of industries.

About the Role

Working within a busy production environment, you will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture a variety of interior and exterior fabric products to customer specifications. The company is known for its commitment to quality and is looking for an individual who takes pride in their work and enjoys working as part of a team.

This permanent opportunity would suit an experienced Sewing Machinist with previous industrial sewing experience who is looking for long-term stability with a successful and established Bristol employer. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work within a manufacturing environment are essential.

Key Duties

  • Operating industrial sewing machines to manufacture bespoke products.
  • Working with PVC, canvas, and other heavy-duty materials.
  • Producing interior and exterior fabric products to customer specifications.
  • Following production instructions and meeting quality standards.
  • Conducting basic machine checks and reporting faults where necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area.
  • Working with the wider team to achieve production targets.
  • Ensuring products are completed accurately and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines is essential.
  • Experience working with PVC, canvas, or heavy-duty materials is advantageous.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable working within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual approach to work.
  • Willingness to learn and support the wider production team.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00.
  • Friday: 07:00 - 16:30.
  • Lunch break unpaid
  • Permanent full-time position.
