- Link with drug and alcohol recovery services to promote the identification of people affected by sexual exploitation and ensure appropriate referral pathways are in place.

- Work closely with sexual health services and social care within County Durham to target interventions in areas with higher rates of sexual exploitation and help reduce inequalities.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to undertake shared assessments, keyworking and interventions.
- Support individual progression from engagement through structured treatment towards self-sustained recovery.
- Develop and implement a whole-system approach to working with people affected by sexual exploitation and co-occurring substance misuse.
- Support people leaving treatment to access community resources and continue their recovery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
