Band 6 Sexual Health Nurses Wanted

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Sexual Health Nurses – or committed candidates ready to progress through an Annex 21 development pathway – to join our busy, high-demand sexual health service at The Arch, Knowsley. Two posts available: 37.5 hrs and 27.5 hrs.

We provide inclusive, confidential, and responsive care to a diverse local population, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced clinical environments and is passionate about improving sexual health outcomes.

About the Role

You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality clinical care, including assessment, treatment, health promotion, and safeguarding support. Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgement, and a proactive, patient-centred approach are essential. For Annex 21 applicants, a structured development programme will support you to build specialist competence and progress confidently to Band 6.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality clinical care.
  • Conduct consultations for both contraception and STI screening.
  • Work from PGD to dispense both contraceptive and STI treatments.
  • Manage STI management, health advising, and results management.
  • Provide LARC methods including sub-dermal implant insertion and removal.

Flexible Working Pattern

The role includes evenings and weekends. The successful applicant will be required to deliver patient care and manage all areas within the axess service, demonstrating professionalism, clinical expertise, and excellent communication skills in all aspects of their work.
