What You’ll Be Doing

As a Share Plan & Deferred Compensation Advisor, you will play a leading role in managing the design and implementation of Shell’s share plans, including restricted share awards, performance share Awards, deferred compensation programmes and employee share purchase plans.

Accountabilities include:

  • Third-Party Partnerships: partner with our third-party share plan administration and global tax provider to ensure accurate and timely administration of share plans
  • Tax and Legal Compliance: manage tax and legal compliance for Shell share plans, including overseeing key share plan events such as share vestings/deliveries, supporting execution of key payroll/tax filings and timely submissions of tax and regulatory filings.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: work closely with internal teams (Company Secretary, Finance, Legal, Tax, Payroll and more) to deliver compliant share plan programmes.
  • Process Improvement: drive continuous process improvement through technology, automation, and policy reviews. Support the oversight and development of the share plan data management processes both internally and with our third-party vendors
  • Corporate Activity Support: assist HR teams during divestment and other corporate activities related to share plans
  • Employee Engagement: help design compelling employee communications materials to drive engagement with share plans across Shell
  • Industry Leadership: stay externally focused by participating in external share plan forums, sharing learnings, and ensuring our processes are industry leading

What You Bring

  • Extensive practical experience of share plan administration.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. A high level of proficiency in excel is required
  • Proactive multitasker with excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Comfortable managing internal and external relationships. Able to work independently on ad hoc projects.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, CTA (or other equivalent accounting/tax/legal qualifications), or ICSA share plans qualification desirable
  • Enthusiastic about simplifying processes and improving the employee experience.
