Job Overview/Purpose

We’re looking for an experienced SharePoint Architect to join our Digital Workplace team. You’ll lead complex SharePoint transformation, migration, and Copilot-readiness engagements, shaping evidence-led solutions from discovery and pre-sales through architecture, technical assurance, and delivery. You’ll help customers move securely to well-designed, governed Microsoft 365 environments while translating technical findings into clear roadmaps, estimates, and Statements of Work.

This role offers strong opportunities to expand both delivery and advisory capabilities, including leading larger SharePoint transformation programs and developing deeper expertise in migration strategy, information governance, and operating model design. The position will also play a key role in shaping and embedding best practice across the Digital Workplace team through the development of migration standards, assessment templates, and delivery playbooks, while contributing to pre-sales activities, estimation approaches, and reusable statement of work (SoW) content.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture and delivery of enterprise SharePoint migrations, including on-premises SharePoint, tenant-to-tenant, file share, and third-party platform migrations into SharePoint Online.
  • Define proportionate migration approaches covering discovery, source and destination baselines, data validation, content movement, permissions and identity mapping, metadata alignment, batching, pilot and pre-seed strategy, testing, reconciliation, acceptance thresholds, and cutover governance.
  • Design SharePoint architecture, including sites, libraries, hub sites, permissions models, managed metadata, content types, navigation, and governance controls.
  • Use ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, and TreeSize to assess source environments, identify risks, estimate effort, and support migration delivery.
  • Lead evidence-led discovery and assessment across data estates, ownership, permissions, information architecture, governance, migration readiness, and Copilot readiness, translating findings into prioritised recommendations and decision-ready roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership across migration planning, pilots, migration waves, issue resolution, cutover, and handover, including proportionate review of migration runbooks, mapping files, migration scripts, configuration, checkpoints, and go/no-go criteria.
  • Produce and review clear architecture, migration, remediation, validation, decision, and handover documentation for customers and delivery teams, ensuring that assumptions, risks, dependencies, ownership, acceptance criteria, and unresolved exceptions are recorded.
  • Support pre-sales engagements through discovery, solution shaping, technical workshops, ROM estimation, proposal development, and the production and peer review of Statements of Work.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale SharePoint migrations across on-premises, tenant-to-tenant, file share, and third-party source platforms such as Dropbox or Box.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, permissions, libraries, metadata, content types, hub sites, sharing, and governance.
  • Hands-on experience with ShareGate, Microsoft Migration Manager, TreeSize, or similar migration and assessment tools.
  • Experience establishing source and destination baselines, validating migration tooling and configuration, mapping users and permissions, planning pilots and migration batches, defining measurable acceptance thresholds, reviewing migration evidence, and reconciling outcomes.
  • Ability to translate complex platform findings into proportionate migration plans, runbook controls, risks, dependencies, customer actions, decision points, and escalation routes, while distinguishing architect-level assurance from task-level delivery detail.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions and migration constraints to IT, security, compliance, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience assessing data quality, ownership, permissions, sharing, retention, and governance controls, and advising how SharePoint information architecture and SharePoint Advanced Management can support secure Copilot and AI adoption
