SharePoint Consultant
Contract Length: 3 Months (likely extension)
Location: Remote (UK Candidates Only)
Day Rate: £400 Outside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
We're supporting a large UK organisation undertaking a significant Microsoft 365 modernisation programme and are looking for an experienced SharePoint Migration & Modernisation Specialist to help deliver the migration from Classic SharePoint to Modern SharePoint Online.
This is a hands-on technical contract where you'll take ownership of migration activities, modernise existing SharePoint environments, improve information architecture and help prepare the organisation for future Microsoft 365 capabilities including Copilot and AI-powered experiences.

Key Experience Needed
- Proven experience migrating Classic SharePoint to Modern SharePoint Online
- Strong SharePoint Online administration experience
- Hands-on experience with ShareGate and Microsoft Migration Tool
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and SharePoint architecture
- Experience with permissions, metadata, document libraries and information architecture
- Power Automate experience for replacing legacy SharePoint processes
- Experience troubleshooting complex SharePoint migration challenges
- PowerShell scripting experience (highly desirable)
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, SharePoint Agents or wider Microsoft 365 AI capabilities is advantageous

- Deliver end-to-end SharePoint migration activities using ShareGate
- Execute pre-stage, delta and cutover migrations
- Modernise SharePoint sites, navigation, permissions and information architecture
- Replace legacy SharePoint Alerts and workflows with Power Automate where appropriate
- Resolve migration issues and ensure a smooth user experience
- Produce migration documentation and repeatable delivery standards
- Support knowledge transfer and user adoption throughout the programme
- Automate migration and administration activities using PowerShell where appropriate
- Work closely with technical teams and stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable delivery aligned with Microsoft 365 best practice.
