About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior or Expert Microsoft SharePoint Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise SharePoint solutions tailored to client needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and end users, to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable SharePoint applications. Your expertise will be pivotal in modernizing existing SharePoint environments and integrating SharePoint with external systems through REST APIs and other technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SharePoint on-premises environments, including SharePoint 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition, and possess strong technical skills in client-side development, solution delivery, and best practices for security and performance. This is a full-time role designed for a self-motivated professional who thrives in collaborative, Agile settings and is committed to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining SharePoint solutions, with at least 5 years supporting SharePoint environments in a senior capacity.
  • Proven expertise in SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019, and SharePoint Subscription Edition.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise SharePoint development and custom application creation.
  • Strong knowledge of client-side SharePoint development, including SharePoint Framework (SPFx), CSOM, JSOM, and REST APIs.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, JSON, and modern front-end frameworks such as Svelte.
  • Familiarity with development tools such as Visual Studio Code, Node.js, npm/pnpm, Vite, ESLint, Prettier, and browser developer tools.
  • Experience with Git-based source control, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment processes.
  • Understanding of secure client-side configuration management, logging, monitoring, and error handling best practices.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills and ability to produce clear deployment guides and support procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken; French language skills are advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within Agile teams, demonstrating a proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement custom SharePoint solutions compatible with SharePoint 2016, 2019, and Subscription Edition environments.
  • Create modern client-side applications and components utilizing SharePoint Framework (SPFx) to enhance user experience and functionality.
  • Build and maintain integrations between SharePoint and external systems using REST APIs and related technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
  • Develop solutions leveraging SharePoint CSOM and JSOM technologies to meet client-specific requirements.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and modernization of existing SharePoint customizations, ensuring they align with evolving business needs.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application, integration, and performance issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and impact on end users.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, testing phases, deployment activities, and provide ongoing production support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, deployment guides, and support procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
  • Collaborate with project teams, technical stakeholders, and end users to gather requirements, provide technical insights, and deliver solutions that meet organizational standards and client expectations.
