Job Description
Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: April 2027 / 6-month contract
Work Set Up: Onsite (5 days per week in office)
Clearance Required: BPSS
Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a skilled SharePoint SME / 3rd Line Technical Specialist to support and evolve their SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in SharePoint upgrades, administration, development, platform performance, security, and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Act as 3rd line escalation for complex SharePoint issues.
- Lead SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition (SE) upgrades.
- Manage and support SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365.
- Support and evolve the SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Perform hands-on SharePoint administration and development.
- Ensure SharePoint platform performance, security, and reliability.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical SharePoint issues.
- Support the ongoing technical evolution and stability of the SharePoint environment.
- Work with Microsoft 365 technologies and related platforms where required.
- Apply appropriate technical practices to maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing SharePoint estate.

Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong hands-on expertise as a SharePoint SME or 3rd Line Technical Specialist.
- Bring substantial experience with SharePoint Server 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE).
- Possess strong knowledge of SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365.
- Show proven experience leading or supporting SharePoint upgrades, particularly from SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition.
- Demonstrate practical experience in SharePoint administration and development.
- Bring experience providing 3rd line technical support and resolving complex SharePoint issues.
- Understand the requirements for maintaining SharePoint platform performance, security, and reliability.
- Experience with the wider Microsoft 365 stack, including OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate and Power Apps, is advantageous.
- Exposure to Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities would be beneficial.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102) certification is preferred.
- Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) certification is preferred.
- Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) certification is preferred.
- Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) certification is preferred.
