SharePoint Developer / SharePoint SME
Location: Manchester (Onsite)
Initial Duration: 6 Months
Inside IR35 Rate: £500 - £520 per day
Clearance: BPSS
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced SharePoint Developer / SharePoint SME to join a busy technical team, supporting and enhancing a complex SharePoint environment spanning both on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong SharePoint administration, development, and upgrade experience who is comfortable acting as a senior technical specialist and escalation point for critical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a 3rd Line Technical Specialist for complex SharePoint incidents and requests.
- Lead and support SharePoint 2019 to SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE) upgrade activities.
- Administer, maintain, and support SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365) environments.
- Ensure platform security, performance, stability, and availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the SharePoint estate.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and business teams to deliver improvements and enhancements.
- Contribute to platform roadmaps, upgrades, and operational best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with SharePoint Server 2019.
- Experience upgrading and supporting SharePoint Subscription Edition (SE).
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365).
- Proven experience supporting enterprise SharePoint environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and 3rd line support capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900)
