Salary: £42,080 - £44,295 per annum

About The Role
Are you ready to use your SharePoint and Power Platform expertise to transform how colleagues collaborate and help deliver meaningful impact for people affected by dementia? Would you like to shape and enhance the digital workplace experience for colleagues across Alzheimer’s Society, helping us work more effectively, collaboratively, and securely?
We have an exciting opportunity for a SharePoint & Power Platform Engineer to join our IT team within the Technology directorate.
As our SharePoint & Power Platform Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting our SharePoint Online and Power Platform services. From creating and designing SharePoint sites and our intranet, to building automated workflows in Power Automate, apps in Power Apps, and reports in Power BI, you’ll help deliver innovative solutions that enable colleagues to do their best work and support the Society’s mission.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you’ll act as a subject matter expert, driving adoption, continuous improvement, and the effective use of collaboration technologies to deliver real business value.

About You
You’re a collaborative and technically skilled professional with a passion for creating engaging digital workplace experiences. You enjoy solving complex problems, improving processes, and helping people get the most out of technology.
You’re confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, translating business needs into practical solutions, and balancing innovation with security and governance requirements. You enjoy automating repetitive work, stay up to date with emerging Microsoft technologies and are excited by the opportunities they create to improve productivity, collaboration, and user experience.
Most importantly, you enjoy working as part of a team and are motivated by the opportunity to use your expertise to support a cause that truly matters.
You'll Have
- Proven experience creating, designing, and supporting SharePoint Online sites, including intranets, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive
- Expert knowledge of Power Automate, plus experience building Power Apps and Power BI reports
- Good PowerShell skills for automating SharePoint and Microsoft 365 administration (e.g. PnP PowerShell)
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 governance, security, licensing, and administration
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Entra ID, including identity, guest access, and external sharing solutions
- Experience developing user-focused digital solutions that improve business processes and ways of working
- Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience creating technical documentation, standards, and support materials
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement and technology adoption

What You’ll Focus On
- Creating, designing, and maintaining SharePoint Online sites and the Society’s intranet, including information architecture, permissions, and site templates
- Administering Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and governance controls across collaboration services
- Deploying and enhancing Microsoft Viva applications to improve employee experience
- Building Power Automate flows and Power Apps solutions to streamline and automate business processes
- Using PowerShell and Azure to automate administration, reporting, and integrations
- Developing Power BI dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to stakeholders
- Creating and managing Power Pages and Copilot Studio solutions to support digital services and AI-powered experiences
- Managing Power Platform governance, including environments, data loss prevention policies, and licensing
- Acting as the subject matter expert for SharePoint and the Power Platform across the Society
- Collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to maximise the value of digital workplace tools
- Driving adoption, continuous improvement, and innovation across collaboration platforms
- Creating and maintaining technical and architectural documentation
