Talented people are the key to our success.

Would you like to work for an inclusive and collaborative company that is one of the most successful within the UK infrastructure industry?

We are looking for a motivated and initiative-taking SHE Advisor to join our team, supporting the safe delivery of a major National Grid infrastructure project. This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a high-profile project team, helping to drive best practice in Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) performance throughout project delivery.

As a dedicated site based SHE professional, you will provide a visible and positive presence across all project activities, supporting operational teams to ensure works are delivered safely, responsibly and in line with company and client requirements. Working closely with project leadership, site teams, and supply chain partners, you will play a vital role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across the project.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide a visible and initiative-taking Safety, Health, and Environmental presence across project sites.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing management of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS), project SHE plans and client requirements.
  • Work closely with project management, construction teams, and supply chain partners to promote safe working practices.
  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace monitoring activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and legislative requirements.
  • Monitor high-risk construction activities and provide practical SHE advice to operational teams.
  • Review and support the implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Promote workforce engagement through safety briefings, behavioural safety initiatives, and site-based coaching.
  • Support incident investigations, identifying root causes and assisting with the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Monitor and track SHE actions to ensure timely completion and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate SHE records, reports and performance data.
  • Support environmental, occupational health and wellbeing initiatives across the project.
  • Provide assurance that project controls remain effective throughout all phases of delivery.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and supply chain partners to ensure consistent SHE standards are maintained.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
