Who is Mick George?

What started as one man, one tipper truck, and a dream has grown into a successful business over nearly 40 years. Today, the company operates more than 600 HGV vehicles across 40+ sites and employs over 1,000 people, making it one of the leading suppliers to the construction industry across East Anglia and the East Midlands.

The company is committed to providing the highest standards of service and support to everyone it works with, including employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Role Purpose

We are looking for someone who leads by example — a visible, approachable professional who can positively influence behaviors on site and drive a strong safety culture through engagement, coaching, and mentoring to support continuous improvement in SHE standards primarily in the contracting division but with the opportunity to work within the quarry, concrete and waste management environments as well.

You will provide visible felt leadership across operational sites, engaging directly with front-line staff acting as a coach and mentor and supporting teams to improve safety performance and ownership, and build and maintain credible, trust-based relationships with both operational and management teams, offering practical, experience-led H&S guidance aligned to real-world site activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
