HSW Advisor - Residential Solutions Team

Location

Heathrow and Gosport

Hours

40 per week

About the Role

As a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor within the Kier Places HSW Team, you will be allocated contracts and projects to support from conception to delivery, becoming an integral member of the contract and project team. You'll ensure teams operate to the requirements of our Integrated Management System, working predominantly on the Heathrow Quiet Neighbourhood Support contract, as well as covering our Gosport and London & Quadrant Social Housing contracts.


What Will You Be Responsible For?

As a HSW Advisor, you will be working within the Residential Solutions Team, supporting them in delivering the highest standards of safety across contracts and projects. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on all aspects of IMS Procedures and control standards, coaching and supporting continual improvement of high standards and compliance
  • Carrying out scheduled inspections and advisory visits, promoting best practice in accordance with our risk-based approach
  • Leading investigations using Kelvin TOPSET and compiling comprehensive reports for accidents, incidents, and near misses
  • Promoting our Think Safety Differently programme and delivering internal training on HSW systems and risk management
  • Attending pre-contract and pre-start meetings to ensure effective HSW standards are planned and implemented

What Are We Looking For?

This role of HSW Advisor is great for you if:

  • You hold an IOSH recognised level 5+ Health and Safety qualification
  • You have demonstrable experience within construction or facilities management industries
  • You have a membership of a professional body (minimum Tech IOSH) and working knowledge of ISO 45001
  • You have excellent communication skills, being able to communicate at all levels including presentation and training
  • You hold a current Full driving licence and are willing to spend occasional nights away
