Job Title: SHE Manager (m/f/d)
Job Location: Heanor

We’re offering an exciting opportunity at our Sales & Premix production site in Heanor, Derbyshire. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Site Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams, playing a key part in shaping safety and sustainability standards across the business.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Act as stand alone SHE Manager, ensuring compliance with dsm-firmenich Corporate SHE standards and UK legislation.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the SHE Management System, reporting performance and compliance to site management.
- Act as the responsible person under COMAH regulations, leading HSE intervention visits and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert technical and organizational support on SHE and Security matters across the site.
- Drive continuous improvement in SHE performance through audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Foster collaboration across company sites and within the global SHE network to share learnings and strengthen SHE practices.
- Managing, developing and implementing systems and procedures to ensure compliance with site and dsm-firmenich Corporate SHE Requirements and UK legislation.
- Maintaining good relationships with external regulators and managing/leading site audits or inspections.
- Review of new/amended dsm-firmenich internal and UK legislative documents on safety, health, environment, and security and implementation of actions to ensure compliance.
- Drive long term continuous improvement, reliability and site SHE initiatives.
- Auditing Process Safety related systems on site (e.g., Permit to Work, LOTOTO systems etc) and feeding back failures to meet standards.
- Undertaking SHE related risk assessments and SHE Incident Investigations.

- Customer-first approach, turning ideas into impactful solutions
You bring
- Qualification in Safety/Environment Management (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate or Environmental Management Certification).
- Knowledge of or qualifications in Quality Management are desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in plant process safety within a chemical or similar industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of COMAH Regulations and DSEAR is essential.
- Experience working with UK Health & Safety Executive or Environment Agency is an advantage.
- Proven managerial experience (projects and/or people), excellent communication and IT skills, and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
