Safety, Health, and Environment Manager
Help strengthen a safety culture where employees are involved, leaders take ownership, and improvements make a measurable difference.
Nefab is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across assigned facilities. In this role, you will work closely with operations leaders, site managers, and employees to identify risks, prevent incidents, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
This opportunity suits a safety professional who enjoys being present at facilities, understanding how work happens, and partnering with teams to put effective solutions into practice.
What You Will Do
- Regularly visit assigned facilities to assess safety performance, identify hazards, and provide practical guidance and coaching.
- Help sites develop and implement prevention programs, company safety policies, and EH&S management systems.
- Advise operations leaders and employees on reducing workplace risks and improving safety performance.
- Deliver training for employees and managers on safety requirements, procedures, and management systems.
- Conduct workplace inspections, participate in audits, and track corrective actions through completion.
- Support incident and near-miss reporting, lead or assist investigations, and help sites implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate safety records, including OSHA injury and illness logs, training documentation, and equipment inspection records.
- Analyze safety data and communicate trends, priorities, and performance to site leadership.
- Help establish and sustain site safety committees and employee participation.
- Support regulatory inspections and responses to inquiries or notices of violations.
- Partner with site and regional leaders to strengthen safety culture and drive continuous improvement.

What You Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Sciences, Safety Engineering, or a similar field.
- At least five years of health and safety experience, preferably in manufacturing with responsibility for multiple sites.
- Significant knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational and manufacturing safety.
- Experience implementing or maintaining EH&S management systems, such as ISO 45001 or ISO 14001.
- Experience leading incident investigations, conducting hazard and risk assessments, performing safety audits, and training hourly employees and managers.
- Demonstrated success implementing programs that improve safety culture, reduce injuries, and strengthen safety performance.
- Experience implementing “new view” safety approaches.
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement manufacturing principles.
- Strong communication, presentation, training, facilitation, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and influence across functions.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using web-based EH&S systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through on commitments.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or a comparable certification is preferred.
