SHE Manager

We're looking for a SHE Manager to join our Thames Water Framework working on our regional and major STW projects based in Gerrards Cross.

Location

Gerrards Cross - Sites across the Thames Water Region

Hours

40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Role Overview

This is an exciting and fast-paced manager role where you'll lead the Kier Thames Water SHE Team to deliver best in class safety, health, and environmental performance. Working alongside Heads of Operations and Project Directors, you'll implement the SHE strategy and drive continuous improvement across the Thames Water Framework. You'll be responsible for implementing cultural change, influencing at senior level, and ensuring the highest standards of SHE responsibility are maintained across all operations.

  • Leading and developing the Thames Water SHE team to provide high-quality technical and strategic support to operations
  • Implementing the safety management system and ensuring compliance with Kier IMS and Thames Water standards
  • Ensuring all accidents, incidents, and near misses are effectively investigated and reported accurately
  • Conducting health and safety inspections and audits, driving continual improvements across the framework
  • Reporting on SHE performance to the Senior Leadership Team and providing timely operational support to project teams

Requirements

This role of SHE Manager is great for you if:

  • You hold a Degree, NVQ or NEBOSH Diploma in Safety, Health & Environmental subjects with strong knowledge of construction safety
  • You have membership in a relevant professional institution
  • You have significant practical H&S experience working in the construction or water sector
  • You have demonstrable experience in managing H&S professionals and strong influencing skills at senior level
  • You hold a Full driving licence and have working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Standards
