SES Engineering Services Seeks an Experienced SHE Manager
SES Engineering Services is seeking an experienced and ambitious SHE Manager to join our growing SES Technology division, supporting the delivery of high-profile, technically complex mechanical and electrical projects across the UK data centre sector.
This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business at an exciting stage of growth, leading the development and implementation of Safety, Health and Environment strategies across major projects while playing a key role in pre-construction, bids and work-winning activities.
As a trusted advisor to senior operational leaders, you will help shape a positive safety culture, influence strategic decision-making, and drive excellence in the planning and delivery of complex M&E works. You will also have the opportunity to build and develop your own SHE team as the division continues to expand.

About The Role
Reporting into senior business leadership and working closely with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will lead the delivery of the SES Safety, Health and Environment strategy across multiple data centre projects nationwide.
Role
The role requires a strong understanding of high-risk construction environments and specialist knowledge of mechanical and electrical safe systems of work, including:
- Electrical safety, isolation and energisation processes
- Permit-to-work systems
- Temporary power and commissioning activities
- High-risk lifting operations
- Confined spaces and work at height
- Complex M&E installation and testing activities
- Interface management between multiple contractors and stakeholders
- CDM compliance and principal contractor requirements

As a visible leader across the business, you will provide professional SHE guidance, coaching and support to project teams, senior leaders, clients and supply chain partners, helping to embed a proactive and resilient safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
As Our SHE Manager, You Will
- Lead the implementation of the SES Safety, Health & Environment strategy across major data centre projects and business operations.
- Develop and deliver a programme of project visits, audits and Visible Management Reviews (VMRs) to ensure the highest standards of SHE performance are maintained.
- Provide expert guidance on risk identification, mitigation and operational controls associated with complex mechanical and electrical construction activities.
- Promote and assure compliance with UK health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations, and industry best practice.
- Drive the successful implementation of robust mechanical and electrical safe systems of work across project and commissioning activities.
- Work collaboratively with project teams, design teams and supply chain partners to integrate SHE considerations into planning, procurement and delivery processes.
- Coach and influence project leadership teams, fostering ownership and accountability for SHE performance at every level.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, contractors and supply chain partners to ensure SES standards are understood, promoted and consistently applied.
- Analyse SHE performance trends, identify improvement opportunities and deliver meaningful insights to senior stakeholders.
- Support incident investigations, learning reviews and cultural improvement initiatives to drive continuous improvement across the business.
