Aircraft Sheet Metal Worker - Luton

Salary: £35,125-£40,394 DOE + £2,250 shift pay Location: London Luton Airport Contract: Permanent Shift: 5/5/4 night shift pattern, 19:00-07:00

Line Up Aviation is recruiting experienced Aircraft Sheet Metal Workers for permanent positions based at London Luton Airport.

This role will involve carrying out aircraft sheet metal and structural repair work within a commercial aviation maintenance environment, working to approved technical data and maintaining the required standards of safety, quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out aircraft sheet metal and structural repair work
  • Undertake drilling, deburring, riveting, cutting, forming and general fabrication tasks
  • Manufacture and repair aircraft panels, structural components and associated parts
  • Remove and install fasteners as required
  • Interpret technical drawings, Structural Repair Manuals and aircraft maintenance data
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately and to the required standard
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures, Part 145 requirements and relevant safety standards

Key requirements

  • Previous aircraft sheet metal work experience
  • Proven base and/or line maintenance experience on commercial aircraft
  • Strong practical sheet metal hand skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and maintenance data
  • Recognised apprenticeship, diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Good understanding of aviation safety, quality and compliance requirements
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
